Pearl Harbor Survivor Sterling Cale accepts the donation check from Aliamanu Elementary School students.

For more than a decade, Aliamanu Elementary School’s student council has spearheaded an annual Nickel Fair. Students pay nickels to play games and quarters for the dunk tank and bounce house. All proceeds are donated to PHP to help restore the Arizona Memorial and the visitor center. The student council schedules a field trip to the Memorial to present the money that was raised. In April, they donated $1,098.27. From 2007 to 2017, their donations have exceeded $13,000.
