Pearl Harbor Survivor Sterling Cale poses with Al Rodrigues at his birthday celebration in February.

Uncle Al, as he is fondly known, was on duty at Pearl Harbor the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, and served a total of 24 years in the U.S. Navy. Friends, family, and the public wished him a Happy Birthday the morning of Feb. 7 at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
